Field Service Engineer E-Beam Lithography (m/f).

 

The position of Field Service Engineer consists of maintaining Vistec's Electron Beam Lithography systems at customer sites worldwide.

 

Primary Duties

• Support, maintenance and repair of our electron beam lithography systems in the field
• Being ready and prepared to travel overseas

 

Experience

• Technical education, Bachelor diploma is preferred
• Hands-on experience in mechanics, electronics, optics and vacuum technology
• Demonstrated competence with MS-Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; being able to develop strong relationships with clients and senior management
• ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals with a minimum of supervision
• Good English skills in spoken and written form
• Product and industry knowledge desirable.

Ihre Aufgabe besteht in der Betreuung, Wartung und Reparatur moderner  Elektronenstrahl-Lithographieanlagen. Sie bringen für die notwendige Kundenbetreuung vor Ort das Interesse an weltweiter Reisetätigkeit mit.

 

Ihr technisch orientiertes Studium haben Sie erfolgreich abgeschlossen und verfügen über Fachkenntnisse in Mechanik, Elektronik, Optik und Vakuumtechnik. Erste Erfahrungen in der Halbleiterindustrie sind von Vorteil. Zu Ihren Stärken zählen eigenverantwortliches und selbständiges Arbeiten innerhalb eines global agierenden Teams. • Strong working knowledge of SAP required.
  - Ability to create material masters, bills of material (BOM),
  routing files, etc.
- Support Engineering Change Requests (ECR) process, parts upgrades,  upgrades, obsolescence, maintenance of structures, etc.
• Some CAD skills required.
  - Ability to create and change AutoCAD files (electronic assemblies, cables, schematic drawings, etc.). 
• Implementation and support of approved engineering changes is required.
• Ability to provide advice on manufacturing issues.
• Provide procedures and support of system build and test.
  - Create / modify documents for publication in Lotus Notes environment.
• Ability to interface with suppliers to address manufacturing issues, obsolescence, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and become the “go to guy” regarding documentation.

 

A technical degree and 5+ years experience working within a technical manufacturing environment that utilizes SAP is desired. Must be flexible and have the ability to work well within a changing environment. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Some international travel will be required.   - Ability to create and change ProE / SolidWorks files.

• Act as local IT contact and interface with external support companies.
  - May provide input to IT budgeting process

Lead analog electronics systems architecture, to carry out direct design and oversee other elements of electronics design to improve machine performance and lower costs. Define requirements of analog electronics in order to meet system performance. Ensure that analog electronics design fulfills functional requirements in order to achieve tool performance. Day to day support of tool build issues in order to achieve timely delivery and performance. Work very closely with Vendors who are working out design details as layouts. Provide support for field personnel by diagnosing problems in order to maintain machine uptime, performance and user satisfaction. Support procurement personnel in the sourcing of specialty analog electronics. Maintain an awareness of technological developments within the industry.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Product Specification
  Create design layouts based on engineering or product specifications which  establish the basis for the product design IN ORDER TO meet customer's requirements.
• Design Approach
  Adopt an optimum design approach and take into consideration the areas of fabrication methods, material selection, human engineering, cost objectives, use of company and industry standards IN ORDER TO achieve company profit abilities.
• Liaison/Communication
  Interface as required with engineers of other departments or vendors involved in the design projects IN ORDER TO meet projects deadlines.
• Technical Support
  Support engineers as required in establishing overall design objectives IN ORDER TO meet projects objectives and requirements.
• Documentation
  Participate in preparing or reviewing necessary engineering change documents that affect assigned design tasks IN ORDER TO meet company requirements and standards.
• Project Management
  Responsible for the complete design projects from the initial engineer’s concept through documentation release IN ORDER TO achieve projects objectives and requirements.

 

Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout EDA tools, Experience in the modeling and simulation.
Requires an electrical engineering or technology degree. 5+ years of experience with the design of high speed, very low noise and high precision electronics. Interest in the system level functionality of products.

• International & domestic shipping experience via overnight carriers and international freight forwarders. 
• Knowledge of warehouse operations (Forklift experience).
• Good computer skills (MS Office)

 

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Candidate should be flexible and able to take on various administrative tasks when required.
