How to get to Watervliet Arsenal

From the Airport:
The easiest way from the airport to Watervliet Arsenal is by following the signs out of the airport to Route 155. Staying on Route 155 east will bring you right to the arsenal. The road makes a couple sharp turns left and right but stay on Route 155, cross Route 9, and as you come down the hill you will see the arsenal spread out in front of you. Route 155 ends at Route 32. Turn right and follow the arsenal fence. You will go right past the Main Gate. This is closed due to security conditions. One more right turn and you are at the South Gate (the only gate now open). Stop and register with the guards.

From the north:
South on I-87 (Northway) to Exit 7 towards Troy (Rt. 7). Route 7 to I-787 South towards Albany. I-787 South to first exit which is marked 23rd Street exit (Watervliet). At exit ramp turn right, then immediately enter the left turn lane. At stop light turn left (Broadway). The main gate for the arsenal is approximately 1 miles on the right, after the light on Broadway. You will go right past the Main Gate. This is closed due to security conditions. One more right turn and you are at the South Gate (the only gate now open). Stop and register with the guards.

From the south:
North on NYS Thruway to exit 23. Exit 23 to I-787 North toward Albany/Troy. Stay on I-787 past Albany and exit at 23rd Street exit (Watervliet). Left at stop light remain in left lane and turn left at next stop light (Broadway). Main gate for the arsenal is approximately 1 miles on the right after stop light on Broadway. You will go right past the Main Gate. This is closed due to security conditions. One more right turn and you are at the South Gate (the only gate now open). Stop and register with the guards.

From the east:
I-90 to 787 North. Right on 787 to 23rd street exit (Watervliet) Left at stop light - remain in the left hand lane and turn left at next stop light (Broadway) Main gate for the arsenal is approximately 1 miles on the right after the stop light on Broadway. You will go right past the Main Gate. This is closed due to security conditions. One more right turn and you are at the South Gate (the only gate now open). Stop and register with the guards.

From the west:
NYS Thruway to Exit 24. After toll booth pick up I-90 towards Boston. Exit for 787 North. North on 787 until 23rd Street (Watervliet) exit. After exit, turn left at stop light. Remain in left lane. At next stop light (Broadway) turn left. Main gate for the arsenal is approximately 1 miles on the right after the stop light on Broadway. You will go right past the Main Gate. This is closed due to security conditions. One more right turn and you are at the South Gate (the only gate now open). Stop and register with the guards.

Note:
All visitors must have approval in advance to visit the Watervliet Arsenal site. Approvals may be arranged through your Vistec contact and take a minimum of 48 hours to process. A valid government issued photo ID (passport for foreign nationals) is required upon registration at the gate. All visitors must be escorted during their time at the Watervliet Arsenal site.

How to find us in the Technology Park Göschwitz

Approach from Berlin or Munich

(Motorway Route A9 via big junction "Hermsdorfer Kreuz")

Coming from Berlin / Leipzig or Munich via the motorway A9 drive to the
"HERMSDORFER KREUZ" and turn onto motorway A4 into the direction
FRANKFURT and ERFURT.

After approx. 12 km leave the motorway A4 through the exit "JENA GÖSCHWITZ".
This is the third Jena motorway exit following immediately after the long bridge over the Saale river. You are stopped by the traffic lights at a big junction. Cross this junction and continue straight on following the signs "Gewerbegebiet Göschwitz" (Industrial Estate Goeschwitz) until you reach the big blue JENOPTIK building on your right side (Technologiezentrum Bau 14). Vistec Electron Beam GmbH is located on the second floor of this building.

Approach from Frankfurt / Erfurt
(Motorway Route A4)

Coming from Frankfurt or Erfurt via the motorway A4 leave the motorway through the exit "JENA GÖSCHWITZ". Turn to the left into direction JENA. Pass below the motorway bridge and after approx. 500m at the first junction (traffic lights) turn to the right and follow the signs "Gewerbegebiet Göschwitz" (Industrial Estate Goeschwitz) until you reach the big blue JENOPTIK building located on your right side (Technologiezentrum Bau 14). Vistec Electron Beam GmbH is located on the second floor of this building.

Approach from Dresden

(Motorway Route A4)

Coming from Dresden pass the "HERMSDORFER KREUZ" and stay on motorway
A4. After approx. 12 km leave the motorway A4 through the exit "JENA GÖSCHWITZ". This is the third Jena motorway exit following immediately after the long bridge over the Saale river. You are stopped by the traffic lights at a big junction.
